We’ve always enjoyed participating in events across Texas, but unfortunately, it’s been very difficult to get temporary food permits approved in Tyler. The city’s local rules and requirements are far more restrictive and complicated than the State of Texas Health Department regulations. Because of these city-level policies, our company is unable to attend any upcoming events in Tyler. It’s disappointing, especially since we’re a licensed and compliant food business that regularly participates in other Texas cities without any issues. We hope the City of Tyler and NET Health will consider reviewing and simplifying their process so that small food businesses like ours can continue bringing great food and community experiences to local events. Thank you for your willingness to help. To provide more detail, the main issue we encountered is the requirement for water under pressure. When speaking with Inspector Dolores, we were told that our setup must include a two-compartment sink with hot and cold running water under pressure as listed under Setup Type #3, with no alternative options allowed. For reference, our business uses a three-compartment sink along with a hand washing statio

This was absolutely the sweetest group of people. They are truly professional and so very kind. In my opinion I truly believe they have the greatest blessing to be able to be true role models for any vaccine experience. Marva was so very quick to return my phone call as well as meet me as I walked in. Thanks, Marva. I certainly wish I could remember all the names. I would most definitely thank them by name as well. πŸ˜‡
